4 When Jehovah angel tell all Israel people this things, the people start to cry with loud voice. 5 So them call that place Boʹchim,* and them do sacrifice to Jehovah for there.

6 When Joshua tell the people say make them go, each Israel person go im property to take over the land. 7 The people continue to serve Jehovah for all the time wey Joshua dey alive and for all the time of the elders wey live long pass Joshua, and wey see all the wonderful things wey Jehovah do for Israel people. 8 Then Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Jehovah, die when e dey 110 years. 9 So them bury-am for the area wey im property dey for Timʹnath-heʹres, for the area wey mountains dey for Eʹphra·im, for the north side of Mount Gaʹash. 10 And them bury all that generation just as them bury their papa-papa them,* and another generation come after them wey no know Jehovah or wetin e don do for Israel.

11 So Israel people do wetin bad for Jehovah eyes and serve* Baʹal idols.* 12 Na so them leave Jehovah the God of their papa them, wey bring them come out from the land of Egypt. And them follow other gods, the gods of the people wey surround them, and them bow down to them and make Jehovah vex. 13 Them leave Jehovah and serve Baʹal and Ashʹto·reth idols. 14 Then Jehovah vex for Israel no be small, so e put them for the hand of the people wey attack them and wey pack their things. E still put them for the hand of* the enemies wey surround them, and them no fit stand against their enemies again. 15 Anywhere wey them go, Jehovah hand dey against them, de bring trouble for them, just as Jehovah don talk and just as Jehovah don swear to them, and them really suffer. 16 Then Jehovah go give them judges wey go save them from the hand of the people wey de attack them.

17 But them no gree listen even to the judges, and them go do like prostitutes de follow other gods and bow down to them. Them don turn comot quick-quick from the road wey their papa-papa them follow, their papa-papa them wey obey the commandments of Jehovah. Them no do like them. 18 Anytime wey Jehovah give them judges, Jehovah go dey with the judge and save them from the hand of their enemies all the time wey the judge dey alive; because Jehovah pity them* as them de cry for their heart because of the people wey de suffer them and the people wey de treat them for bad way.

19 But when the judge die, them go start to do bad things more-more pass their papa them, de follow other gods, de serve them and de bow down to them. Them no stop to do the bad things wey them de do and their stubborn character. 20 At last, Jehovah vex for Israel no be small, and e talk say: “Because this nation don break my agreement wey I command their papa-papa them and them no obey me, 21 as for me, I no go drive even one out of the nations wey Joshua leave before e die, comot from their front. 22 This one na to test whether Israel people go follow Jehovah way and de do wetin e talk just as their papa them do.” 23 So Jehovah allow this nations to remain. E no drive them comot quick-quick, and e no put them for Joshua hand.
