Asista a la Asamblea de Distrito “Lenguaje puro”
DESDE los tiempos de Babel la diferencia de idiomas ha sido una fuerza divisiva. Jehová confundió el lenguaje de la humanidad allá en Babel y frustró el propósito de la gente de ‘edificar una torre y hacerse un nombre célebre para sí’. (Génesis 11:4.) Lo divisivo que puede ser el idioma es patente por lo que sucedió en Bélgica. Unos años atrás la Universidad Católica de Lovaina se dividió en dos grupos por razones lingüísticas.
El lenguaje es solo una de las fuerzas divisivas entre los hombres. Otras razones son: la nacionalidad, la raza, la educación y el nivel económico. Pero los testigos de Jehová se han esforzado por vencer esos factores divisivos y tienen verdadera unión entre sí.
Esa unidad se mostró de manera impresionante el verano pasado en las ciudades polacas de Chorzów (cerca de Katowice), Poznan y Varsovia. Testigos de por lo menos 20 diferentes grupos lingüísticos y procedentes de unos 37 diferentes países asistieron a aquellas asambleas. Sin embargo, todos manifestaron asombrosa unidad. ¿A qué se debió eso? Todos hablan el “lenguaje puro” de la verdad bíblica. Esto se predijo proféticamente en Sofonías 3:9: “Entonces [yo, Jehová Dios,] daré a pueblos el cambio a un lenguaje puro, para que todos ellos invoquen el nombre de Jehová, para servirle hombro a hombro”.
Por eso, con buena razón las asambleas de distrito para 1990 tendrán como tema: “Lenguaje Puro”. Debido a la imperfección humana, las influencias del mundo inicuo de Satanás y los ardides astutos del Diablo y sus demonios, no siempre es fácil hablar el “lenguaje puro”. Siempre tenemos que guardarnos de tendencias egoístas que pudieran dividirnos.
¿Por qué nos ha dado Dios este lenguaje puro? Para que sirvamos a Jehová “hombro a hombro”. Otras traducciones indican que esto significa servir a Dios “bajo un mismo yugo” (Biblia de Jerusalén); “de común consentimiento” (Valera, 1977); “de común acuerdo” (Nueva Biblia Española, 1976) y “cooperar en su servicio” (Byington [en inglés]).
Mediante discursos, demostraciones, experiencias, simposios y dramas bíblicos estas asambleas nos estimularán a hablar el lenguaje puro con mayor fluidez. También nos impulsarán a servir más eficaz y armoniosamente con nuestros hermanos.
Estas asambleas de distrito comenzarán el jueves poco después de la una de la tarde y concluirán alrededor de las cuatro de la tarde el domingo. Haga planes ahora para estar presente para el cántico de apertura y para asistir a todas las sesiones hasta la oración de conclusión el domingo por la tarde.
Traiga su Biblia y su cancionero y esté preparado para tomar notas. Además, venga con buen apetito espiritual, y saldrá mejor equipado para hablar el lenguaje puro y servir a Jehová hombro a hombro con otros.
