(UJohane 2:1-3) Ngosuku lwesithathu kwaba khona umthimba eKhana laseGalile. Unina kaJesu wayekhona, 2 loJesu labafundi bakhe labo babenxusiwe emthimbeni. 3 Kwathi iwayini seliphelile unina kaJesu wathi, “Sebephelelwe liwayini.”
UKhristu Ungamandla KaNkulunkulu
3 UJesu wenza isimangaliso sakhe sokuqala edilini lomtshado elaliseKhana eGalile. Kumele ukuthi inani labantu ababuya emtshadweni lo latshaya ledlula lokho ababekukhangelele. Kungelani lokuthi babebanengi kumbe bebalutshwana, iwayini laphela. Omunye owayemenyiwe edilini leli nguMariya unina kaJesu. Akuthandabuzwa ukuthi uMariya wayeseleminyaka ecabangisisa ngeziphrofetho ezaziphathelane lendodana yakhe ayekwazi ukuthi yayizabizwa ngokuthi “yiNdodana yoPhezukonke.” (Luk 1:30-32; 2:52) Mhlawumbe uMariya wayengabe ekholwa ukuthi indodana yakhe yayilamandla eyayingakaqalisi ukuwasebenzisa. Okwenzakala eKhana kutshengisa ukuthi uMariya loJesu babazwela isihawu abatshadayo njalo babengafuni ukuthi bayangeke. UJesu wayekwazi ukuthi abamenyiweyo kwakumele baphiwe ukudla. Yikho wenza isimangaliso, wantshintsha amanzi angaba ngamalitha angu-380 aba ‘liwayini elimnandi.’ (Bala uJohane 2:3, 6-11.) Kwakungumlandu wakhe yini ukuthi enze isimangaliso lesi? Hatshi. Wasenza ngenxa yokuthi wayebakhathalela abantu njalo elingisela uYise ophanayo.
(UJohane 2:4-11) Waphendula uJesu wathi, “Mama, mina lawe singena njani kulokhu na? Isikhathi sami kasikafiki.” 5 Unina wasesithi ezincekwini, “Libokwenza loba kuyini azalitshela khona.” 6 Eduze kwalapho kwakumi izimbiza zamatshe eziyithupha, uhlobo lolo abaJuda ababelusebenzisa enkonzweni yokuzihlambulula, ngayinye imbiza ingagcwala amalitha alikhulu kusiya ekhulwini elilamatshumi amahlanu. 7 UJesu wathi, “Zigcwaliseni amanzi izimbiza lezi;” yikho bazigcwalisa zathi thwaca. 8 Wasezitshela wathi, “Khathesi-ke khanini khonapho lise kumphathi wedili.” Benzanjalo, 9 Umphathi wahubula wawanambitha amanzi ayesephendulwe aba liwayini. Lesi yisimangaliso sikaJesu sokuqala. Isimanga lesi senza ukholo lwabafundi bakhe abatsha lwaqina. Ngemva kwalokho uJesu, labafowabo kanye lonina bahamba baya eKhaphenawume esenyakatho ntshonalanga koLwandle lwaseGalile.

(UJohane 4:39-41) AmaSamariya amanengi akulowo muzi akholwa kuye ngenxa yobufakazi bowesifazana owathi, “Ungitshele konke esengake ngakwenza.” 40 Yikho amaSamariya amcela ukuthi ahlale labo, wasehlala izinsuku ezimbili. 41 Ngenxa yamazwi akhe abanengi kulalokho baba ngamakholwa.

umkhaphi womyeni: Ngezikhathi zeBhayibhili umngane oseduze womyeni wayesenza umsebenzi oqakathekileyo wokulungiselela umtshado. Wayekhangelwa njengohlanganise umakoti lomyeni. Ngosuku lomtshado umthimba wawufika endlini yomyeni kumbe ngakibo kusiya ngokuthi idili lenzelwa ngaphi. Ngesikhathi sedili, umngane womyeni wayejabula nxa esizwa umyeni ekhuluma lentombi yakhe ngoba wayeyabe ebona ukuthi wenze kuhle umsebenzi wakhe. UJohane uMbhabhathizi wazifananisa ‘lomkhaphi womyeni.’ UJesu nguye umyeni futhi abafundi bakhe yibo abangumlobokazi wakhe. UJohane walungisela uMesiya indlela ngokwethula kuJesu Khristu amalunga okuqala omlobokazi. (Joh 1:29, 35; 2Kr 11:2; Efe 5:22-27; Sam 21:2, 9) Umsebenzi womkhaphi womyeni wawuphela nxa angethula umlobokazi kumyeni. Wayesithi angenza njalo uyabe engasaqakathekanga kangako. UJohane wathi eziqathanisa loJesu wathi: “Yena ufanele abemkhulu; mina kufanele kunciphe ukuqakatheka kwami.”—Joh 3:30.
(UJohane 4:10) UJesu wamphendula wathi, “Aluba ubusazi isipho sikaNkulunkulu lokuthi ungubani lowo ocela ukuthi umnathise, ngabe umcelile wakupha amanzi okuphila.”

amanzi okuphila: Umutsho lo wesiGrikhi usetshenziswa nxa kukhulunywa ngamanzi agelezayo. Amanzi la atshiyene lawomthombo. (UJohane 6:9-11) “Nangu umfana olezinkwa zebhali ezinhlanu lezinhlanzi ezimbili ezincinyane, kodwa zingafika ngaphi ebantwini abanengi kangaka na?” 10 UJesu wathi, “Hlalisani abantu phansi.” Kwakulotshani obunengi kuleyondawo, asehlala phansi amadoda ubunengi bawo bungaba yizinkulungwane ezinhlanu. 11 UJesu wasezithatha izinkwa, wakhuleka, wasezabela labo abasebehlezi phansi, wabapha njengokufuna kwabo. (UJohane 6:25-27) Bathi sebemfumene ngaphetsheya kwechibi bambuza bathi, “Rabi, kanti ufike nini lapha na?” 26 UJesu waphendula wathi, “Ngiqinisile ukuthi kalingidingi ngoba libonile imimangaliso kodwa ngoba lidle izinkwa lasutha. 27 Lingasebenzeli ukudla khona okubolayo, kodwa sebenzelani ukudla okuhlalayo, okwempilo engapheliyo, elizakuphiwa yiNdodana yoMuntu. UBaba usebeke kuyo uphawu lwakhe lokuyibeka.”

(UJohane 6:60) Bathi bekuzwa lokhu abafundi bakhe abanengi bathi, “Le yimfundiso enzima. Kambe ngubani ongayamukela na?”
(UJohane 6:66-69) Kusukela kulesosikhathi abafundi bakhe abanengi bamdela ababe besamlandela. 67 “Lina kalifuni ukutshiya na?” UJesu ebuza abaliTshumi lambili. 68 USimoni Phethro wamphendula wathi, “Nkosi, sizakuya kubani na? Wena ulamazwi okuphila okungapheliyo. 69 Thina siyakholwa njalo siyazi ukuthi ungoNgcwele kaNkulunkulu.”

ukudla okubolayo . . . ukudla okuhlalayo, okwempilo engapheliyo: UJesu wakunanzelela ukuthi abanye abantu babelandela yena labafundi bakhe ngenxa yokuthi babefuna ukudla. Loba ukudla okungokoqobo kungaphilisa abantu nsuku zonke, “ukudla” okuvela eLizwini likaNkulunkulu kungapha abantu ukuphila okungapheliyo. UJesu wakhuthaza ixuku labantu ukuthi lisebenzele “ukudla okuhlalayo, okwempilo engapheliyo” okutsho ukuthi baqakathekise ukukhonza lokuba lokholo ezintweni abazifundayo.—Mat 4:4; 5:3; Joh 6:28-39.
odla inyama yami njalo anathe igazi lami: Amavesi asesahlukweni lesi atshengisa ukuthi ukudla lokunatha okukhulunywa ngakho lapha yikuba lokholo kuJesu Khristu. (Joh 6:35, 40) UJesu wakhuluma amazwi la ngo-32 C.E., wayengakhulumi ngeSidlo SeNkosi Sakusihlwa esasizakwenziwa ngomnyaka owawuzalandela. Watsho amazwi la sekusele isikhatshana ukuthi “iDili lePhasika labaJuda” liqalise (Joh 6:4), yikho ababemlalele babengahle bakhumbule idili leli elaselisondele kanye lokuqakatheka kwegazi lewundlu ekusindiseni ama-Israyeli ngobusuku aphuma ngalo eGibhithe (Eks 12:24-27). UJesu wayegcizelela ukuthi igazi lakhe laliqakatheke kakhulu ngoba lalizakwenza ukuthi abafundi bakhe bathole ukuphila okungapheliyo.

13 Noma kunjalo, izixuku zazimisela ukulandela uJesu futhi zamthola, “phesheya kolwandle” ngokusho kukaJohane. Kungani zamlandela nakuba ayeyigwemile imizamo yazo yokumenza inkosi? Abaningi kuzo babonisa ukuthi babenombono ongokwenyama, bakhuluma bangagwegwesa ngamalungiselelo angokwenyama uJehova ayewenzile ehlane osukwini lukaMose. Babesikisela ukuthi uJesu kwakufanele aqhubeke nokubondla ngokwenyama. UJesu, ebona izisusa zabo ezimbi, waqala ukubafundisa amaqiniso angokomoya ayengabasiza ukuba balungise ukucabanga kwabo. (Johane 6:17, 24, 25, 30, 31, 35-40) Besabela kulokhu, abanye bakhononda ngaye, ikakhulukazi lapho enza lo mfanekiso: “Ngiqinisile impela ngithi kini, Ngaphandle kokuba nidle inyama yeNdodana yomuntu niphuze igazi layo, aninakho ukuphila kini ngaphakathi. Lowo odla inyama yami, aphuze igazi lami unokuphila okuphakade, ngiyomvusa ngosuku lokugcina.”—Johane 6:53, 54.
14 Imifanekiso kaJesu ngokuvamile yayishukumisela abantu ukuba babonise ukuthi babekufuna ngempela yini ukuhamba noNkulunkulu. Kwenzeka okufanayo nakulo mfanekiso. Wabacasula kakhulu abaningi. Siyafunda: “Abaningi kubafundi bakhe, lapho bezwa lokhu, bathi: ‘Le nkulumo iyashaqisa; ubani ongayilalela na?’” UJesu waqhubeka ebachazela ukuthi kwakufanele babheke incazelo engokomoya yamazwi akhe. Wathi: “Ngumoya onikeza ukuphila; inyama ayinalo nhlobo usizo. Amazwi engiwakhulume kini angumoya futhi awukuphila.” Noma kunjalo, abaningi abathandanga ukulalela, futhi ukulandisa kuyasibikela: “Ngenxa yalokhu abaningi kubafundi bakhe bahamba baya ezintweni ababezishiye emuva futhi ababange besahamba naye.”—Johane 6:60, 63, 66.

“Kulotshiwe”
5 UJesu wayefuna abantu bazi ukuthi isigijimi sakhe sasivelaphi. Wathi: “Lokho engikufundisayo akukhona okwami, kodwa kungokwalowo ongithumile.” (Johane 7:16) Ngesinye isikhathi, wathi: “Angenzi lutho ngokwami; kodwa lezi zinto ngizikhuluma njengoba nje uBaba angifundisa.” (Johane 8:28) Wabuye wathi futhi: “Izinto engizisho kini madoda angizikhulumi ngokusuka kimi; kodwa uBaba ohlale emunye nami wenza imisebenzi yakhe.” (Johane 14:10) Enye indlela uJesu afakazela ngayo ubuqiniso bala mazwi kwakungukulicaphuna kaningi iZwi likaNkulunkulu elilotshiwe.
6 Ukuhlolisisa amazwi kaJesu alotshiwe kuveza ukuthi wacaphuna ngokuqondile ezincwadini zemiBhalo YesiHebheru ezingaphezu kwesigamu noma wabhekisela kuzo. Ungase ungasiboni isimanga kulokhu. Mhlawumbe ungase uzibuze ukuthi kule minyaka emithathu nengxenye efundisa futhi eshumayela obala, wehlulwa yini ukucaphuna kuzo zonke izincwadi eziphefumulelwe ezazitholakala. Eqinisweni, kungenzeka ukuthi wacaphuna kuzo zonke. Khumbula, yingxenye encane kuphela yamazwi nezenzo zikaJesu elotshiwe. (Johane 21:25) Empeleni, mhlawumbe amazwi kaJesu alotshiwe ungawafunda wonke ngokuzwakalayo ngamahora ambalwa nje kuphela. Manje, cabanga ukhuluma ngoNkulunkulu noMbuso wakhe amahora ambalwa, ubuye ukwazi ukucaphuna ezincwadini zemiBhalo YesiHebheru ezingaphezu kwesigamu! Ngaphezu kwalokho, ezikhathini eziningi uJesu wayesuke engayiphethe imiqulu elotshiwe. Lapho ethula iNtshumayelo yakhe yaseNtabeni edumile, wacaphuna ngokuqondile emiBhalweni YesiHebheru futhi wabhekisela kaningana kuyo—yonke eyisho ngekhanda.
(UJohane 7:28, 29) Kwathi uJesu elokhu esafundisa egumeni lethempeli, wamemeza wathi, “Yebo, liyangazi, njalo liyakwazi lapho engivela khona. Kangizizelanga lapha, kodwa lowo ongithumileyo uqinisile. Kalimazi, 29 kodwa mina ngiyamazi ngokuba ngivela kuye, nguye ongithumileyo.”

Yamukela Umoya KaNkulunkulu, Hhayi Owezwe
19 Lalela uJehova ngokuphelele. UJesu wayenza izinto ezijabulisa uYise ngaso sonke isikhathi. Kunesikhathi okungenani esisodwa lapho ukuthambekela kukaJesu kwake kwahluka khona kulokho uYise ayekufuna. Nakuba kunjalo, ngokuqiniseka wathi kuYise: “Makungenzeki intando yami, kodwa eyakho.” (Luka 22:42) Zibuze, ‘Ingabe ngiyamlalela uNkulunkulu ngisho nalapho kungelula?’ Ukulalela uNkulunkulu kubalulekile ukuze siphile. NjengoMenzi wethu, uMthombo noMsekeli wokuphila kwethu, simkweleta ukumlalela ngokuphelele. (IHu. 95:6, 7) Akukho okungathatha isikhundla sokulalela. Ngeke uNkulunkulu asamukele uma singamlaleli.

Kungani Kufanele Ukhulume Iqiniso?
Isiphi isibonelo esabekwa uJesu Kristu kule ndaba? Ngesinye isikhathi uJesu waxoxa nabanye abantu abangakholwa ababenesithakazelo ezinhlelweni zohambo lwakhe. Bathi kuye: “Dlula lapha ungene eJudiya.” UJesu wabaphendula wathini? “Khuphukani nina niye emkhosini [eJerusalema]; mina angikakhuphukeli kulo mkhosi njengamanje, ngoba isikhathi sami esifanele asikafiki ngokugcwele.” Kungakapheli isikhathi esingakanani, uJesu waya emkhosini eJerusalema. Kungani abaphendula ngale ndlela? Sasingekho isidingo sokuba bazi ngokuthé ngqo ukuthi ukuphi. Ngakho, nakuba uJesu engakhulumanga amanga, wabanikeza impendulo engaphelele ukuze anciphise amathuba okuba yena noma abalandeli bakhe balinyazwe.
