NgoMatshi 1999, eZambia kwagaleleka amawaka abantu ababesaba ungquzulwano olwalukwiDemocratic Republic of the Congo. Abavakalisi boBukumkani abangama-200 ababehlala kuloo dolophana babamkela ngezandl’ ezishushu abazalwana noodade nangona babengabalindelanga. Omnye umzalwana owayeyimbacu uManda Ntompa ukhumbula oku: “Sasingawuvali umlomo luthando nobubele esenzelwa bona. Bathi bakuva ukuba singamaNgqina kaYehova, abazalwana basekuhlaleni bawavula amakhaya abo. Njengomhlolokazi waseTsarefathi, babesibonelela ngokusiwa phantsi kwempumlo, sisity’ into abayityayo.”

Ngasekupheleni kowe-1999, inani labantu abangenandawo zokuhlala landa laya kutsho kuma-200 000. Iphephandaba lasekuhlaleni lathi: “IZambia iye yaba lelinye lamaziko amakhulu eembacu zaseAfrika ezisaba iimfazwe eziqhubeka kumazwe azo.” Nangona abasemagunyeni bezama ngako konke abanako ukuhlangabezana neentswelo zeembacu, udandatheko nokungabikho kolwaneliseko kuye kwabangela ukuba iimbacu zaseAfrika ziqhankqalaze. AmaNgqina kaYehova ayesaziwa njengabantu ababangela ukuba kubekho uxolo kwinkampu yeembacu. Elinye igosa laseburhulumenteni lathi: “Sivile ukuba amaNgqina kaYehova ngabantu abaluthanda ngokwenene unqulo, yaye ngenxa yoko amaninzi kuwo siwanike imbopheleleko yokuba abone ukuba izinto zenzeka ngocwangco kwiinxalenye ezithile zeenkampu. Athe akuphath’ iintambo, kwakho ucwangco enkampini, yaye wonk’ umntu umilisel’ ingqondo ekufundeni iBhayibhile. Ndiyambulela uThixo ngokusinika abantu abanjalo nangoxolo olukule nkampu.”
Ukuthobela Umthetho Wokungatyiwa Kwegazi

“Ndicela Nikhawulezise”

Abanye bachaza inkqubela yabo yokomoya ebangelwe sesi sikolo njengotshintsho ebomini babo. UElad, ngoku onguvulindlela okhethekileyo uthi: “Ndandizibona njengongakufanelekelanga ukufundisa nokuba ndisemncinane kakhulu ukuba ndinganeembopheleleko zebandla ezingakumbi. Isikolo sindenze ndazibona ukuba ndikufanelekele ukusetyenziswa. Kwibandla endabelwa kulo kuqala, abavakalisi abali-16 babengakwazi ukuqhuba izifundo zeBhayibhile ezinenkqubela. Indlela Yokuhlola Impumelelo
Ziziphi ezinye izinto ezibangela ukuba esi Sikolo Sokuqeqesha Abalungiseleli sibe yimpumelelo? URichard Frudd, ongomnye wabazalwana abafundisayo uthi: “Sibethelela ukubaluleka kokuthobeka ngalo lonke ixesha, nokuba umntu angazicingeli ngaphezu koko amelwe kukuzicingela ngako. Abafundi bayakuqonda ukuchana kwala mazwi. UEmmanuel, owaphumelela kwiklasi ye-14, uthi: “Ebandleni esabelwe kulo akufuneki sifike sesingxamele ukulungisa yonke into. Kunoko, simele sinikel’ ingqalelo ekufaken’ isandla kumsebenzi obalulekileyo owenziwa libandla, ukushumayela iindaba ezilungileyo.”

Iindibano Ezinkulu
Imibhiyozo ‘neendibano ezingcwele’ ezazisenziwa ngamaSirayeli ngaphambi kwexesha lobuKristu yayiba zizihlandlo zolonwabo, zibangela ukuba abo bezileyo banikel’ ingqalelo kwizinto zokomoya. (Lev. 23:21; Dut. 16:13-15) Kusenjalo nangeendibano zale mihla zabantu bakaThixo. EZambia iindibano ziqhutyelwa kwiindawo ezingacacanga. Abazalwana bakha izindlu zokwexeshana kuquka ezokulala kwindawo abaye bayibize ngokuba yidolophana yendibano.
Ngokuhamba kwexesha kuye kwakhiwa izindlu zokoqobo kwezo ndawo. Kwiminyaka yangaphambili kwakukho iingxaki ezininzi ezazifuna ukulungiswa ngobuchule. Omnye umveleli wesithili uthi, “Abazalwana babendakhela indlu efulelwe ngengca kweso siza sendibano. Emva koko babeyibiyela ngocingo loo ndawo. Izihlalo yayiba ziziduli zomhlaba ekwakubekwa ‘imiqamelo’ yengca ngaphezu kwazo. Maxa wambi abazalwana babeye benze iqonga ngesiduli seentubi. Baze emva koko bagxumeke intente encinane.”
Umvangeli wasemazweni uPeter Palliser, uthi: “Kwenye indibano abazalwana banqwenela ukuba khe babe neqonga eliphakamileyo. Omnye wabo wayenobuchule bokusebenzisa iziqhushumbisi. Walungisa loo ndawo yayiza kuba neqonga waza waqhekeza isiduli seembovane esasingasenanto esasimalunga neemitha ezintandathu ukuphakama. Ngoko safumana induli ephakamileyo esalakha kuyo iqonga lethu.”
Ukwenza Imigudu Yokubakho
Iindawo ezininzi ezaziqhutyelwa kuzo iindibano zazikude nendlela yeemoto, nto leyo eyayibangela ukuba kube nzima ukuya kuzo. URobinson Shamuluma ukhumbula indibano awayeye kuyo ngowe-1959. Uthi: “Abali-15 kuthi baya eKabwe ekuMda welo Phondo ngeebhayisikile. Sasiphethe umgubo ocoliweyo nentlanzi eyomileyo. Sasilala ematyholweni. Ukuya Endibanweni Ngoxa Kukho Inkcaso
Iindibano ezinkulu ziqhubeka zibomeleza yaye zibakhuthaza abazalwana. Namhlanje abaninzi baziqhwabel’ izandla iindibano ezinkulu. Ubhaptizo

Elinye ilungu leKomiti yeSebe lathi: “Andizange ndizinandiphe ngolu hlobo iindibano. Ekuseni iintsapho zaziphuma kwiindawo ezilala kuzo zinxibe kakuhle. Zazisiza kuYehova zinxibe ngondiliseko. Zazihlala kwingqatsini yelanga. Sekunjalo, zazihlala imini yonke ziphulaphule. Soze ungachukumiseki xa ubona loo mbono.” Ukunxulumana yinxalenye ebalulekileyo yonqulo lwamaNgqina kaYehova. Ihashe Elimnyama

Ucwangciso Olwaba Yimbali

Owona msebenzi wamaKristu obalulekileyo ngowokushumayela ‘iindaba ezilungileyo zobukumkani.’ (2 Kor. 6:5; Mat. 24:14) Nakuba kunjalo, kanye njengokuba umoya oyingcwele ukhuthaza abantu bakaThixo ukuba bashumayele, kwakhona ubakhuthaza ukuba bazibhokoxe ekuhambiseleni phambili izilangazelelo zoBukumkani ngokwakha iindawo ezifanelekileyo zokuhlanganisana. Omnye umzalwana wathi: “Kusenokuba akufaneleki ukuba neHolo yoBukumkani entle kangaka ezilalini, kodwa ifanelekile kuYehova. Ndivuyiswa kukuba uYehova uzukiswa kwiindawo ezifanelekileyo.”
Umsebenzi Wokuhambahamba
Kufuneka abakhonzi bakaThixo banyamezele. (Kol. 1:24, 25) Umzekelo wabantu abazinikela ekuhambiseleni phambili izilangazelelo zoBukumkani ngowabaveleli abahambahambayo. Umsebenzi abawenzayo wokomeleza amabandla uye wabangqina ‘njengezipho ezingabantu.’—Efe. 4:8; 1 Tes. 1:3.

‘Wafa Isiqaqa’
Ukutyelela amabandla asezilalini kwakunzima, njengokuba kunjalo nanamhlanje. URobinson Shamuluma oneminyaka engaphezu kwama-80 ubudala ungumveleli ohambahambayo nomfazi wakhe uJuliana. Ukhumbula mhla banethwa zizantyalantyala zemvula enesaqhwithi. Njengoko sasidamba eso saqhwithi, latyhila, nangona kwakufuneka bahambe kudaka olwalufikelela kwizihlalo zeebhayisikile zabo ukuphakama! Bathi befika kwibandla elilandelayo, wabe uJuliana edinwe eyimfe kunzima nokuba asele amanzi.
UEnock Chirwa, owayengumveleli wesiphaluka nowesithili ukutyhubela iminyaka yee-1960 neyee-1970 uthi: “Usuku olwaluba nzima ngokwenene lolwangoMvulo; sasiba sendleleni. Noko ke, sasisithi sakufika ebandleni silibale ngohambo. Sasikuvuyela ukuba kunye nabazalwana.”
Imiqobo esasidibana nayo yayingeyomigama esasiyihamba nobunzima esidibana nabo nje kuphela. Xa wayesiya kwibandla elikumantla elizwe, uLamp Chisenga wayephelekwa ngabanye abazalwana ababini. Bekwindlela eyayinothuli, babona isilwanyana kumgama othe qelele. UMzalwan’ uChisenga uthi: “Abazalwana babesibona luzizi. Sasihleli kanye apha endleleni okwenja. Ndababuza, ‘Niyasibona? Anikasiboni?’ Omnye umzalwana wathi ingathi yingonyama. Wasitsho isikhalo waza wafa isiqaqa. Sagqiba kwelokuba khe siphumle ithutyana de loo ngonyama ihambe iye kutshona ematyholweni.”
UJohn Jason owachitha inxalenye yeminyaka engama-26 engumveleli wesithili eZambia kunye nenkosikazi yakhe uKay, wafunda ukuba nomonde xa ejamelene neengxaki ezinzima. Uthi: “Ndikhumbula mhla ndaqhuba imoto eqhawukelwe yisuspension umgama oziikhilomitha ezili-150 kuba ndandingenayo enye, kungekho nendawo esasinokufowuna kuyo. Ngesinye isihlandlo sonakalelwa yimoto. Ngentsimbi yesithathu emva kwemini, kwathi gqi imoto yabasebenzi bendlela, sasiqala ukubona imoto ngaloo mini. Baphawula ukuba sisengxakini, baza basitsala. Safika kubazalwana kungekabi mnyama.”
Ukufunda Ukukholosa
Kwiimeko ezinjalo abaveleli abahambahambayo bafunda ukukholosa ngoYehova uThixo nabazalwana abangamaKristu, kungekhona ngamandla omntu okanye ngezinto eziphathekayo. (Heb. 13:5, 6) UGeoffrey Wheeler uthi: “Sajamelana nolunye ucelomngeni sineeveki nje ezintathu kumsebenzi wesithili. Sasikwindawo yendibano sikhangele ngamehlw’ abomvu kucwangciso lwempelaveki. Ndandiphiwe iPrayimasi eyayinamakhwinibana ayo. Lalitshisa ngaloo mini yaye kukho umoya. Ndathi xa ndilayita eso sitovu kwathi dungu umlilo owenyukela eluphahleni. Kungemizuzu mingaphi loo mlilo wawusele ungaphezu kwamandla ethu. Wanwenwela kwivili langaphambili leLand Rover yethu waza wayitsho yangamalahle yonke.”
Kwakubuhlungu ukuphulukana nemoto ngolo hlobo, kodwa kwakungaphelelanga apho. UGeoffrey uthi: “Iimpahla zethu zazisetyesini emnyama eyenziwe ngentsimbi ngaphakathi kuloo Land Rover. UGeoffrey uthi: “Omnye umzalwana wandiboleka iqhina, ndaya kunikela intetho yesidlangalala ngezihlangu ezikhulu ezenziwe ngerabha. Saphila kuloo meko, ibe abazalwana benza konke okusemandleni abo bezama ukuthuthuzela lo mveleli wabo wesithili ungenamava.”
Ibhedi Ekwakungenakuqabela Nyoka Kuyo
Abaveleli abahambahambayo namakhosikazi abo bayomelezwa luthando nenkxalabo yamabandla ‘alandela ikhondo lokubuk’ iindwendwe,’ yaye lubenza baqhubeke nomsebenzi wabo abawenza ngokuzincama. Kungaphel’ imini sibalisa iindlela amabandla ahlangabezana ngazo ngothando neemfuneko zaba bazalwana nakubeni nawo eswele, yaye kuxatyiswa ngokwenene oko.—Roma 12:13; IMize. 15:17.

UFred Kashimoto, owayengumveleli ohambahambayo kwiminyaka yee-1980, ukhumbula mhla wafika ebusuku kwenye ilali yaseZambia ekwiPhondo elisemaNtla. Abazalwana bamamkela ngezandl’ ezishushu. Besalatha loo tafile, abazalwana bathi, “Yibhedi yakho leyo.” Ngenxa yokuba iinyoka zazixhaphakile kuloo ndawo, abazalwana benza ibhedi ekhuselekileyo. Ngobo busuku uMzalwan’ uKashimoto walala kuloo bhedi yayinomatrasi owenziwe ngezithungu zengca.
Ngokufuthi ezilalini niphiwa umphako weenkuku. Encumile uGeoffrey Wheeler uthi, “Ngesinye isihlandlo abazalwana basipha inkuku. Kwathi xa kuqala ukurhatyela sayibeka kwisihlalo sendlu yangasese eyayingaphandle. Yaxhuma kweso sihlalo yaya kuwela ngaphakathi kumngxuma wendlu yangasese. Sayikhupha apho ngomhlakulo isaphila. Umfazi wam wayihlamba ngamanzi ashushu anesepha neyeza lokukhupha iintsholongwane. Ekupheleni kweveki sayipheka, ibe yayimnandi ngokwenene!”
NabakwaJason benzelwa ububele obufanayo. UJohn uthi, “Izihlandlo ezininzi abazalwana babesipha inkuku ephilayo. Sasinebhaskithi encinane esasiyifaka kuyo loo nkuku xa sihambahamba. Imifanekiso Eshukumayo

Eli phulo laba negalelo elikhulu ngokwenene, nangona abantu ababengaqhelananga nendlela ekuphilwa ngayo kwezinye iindawo babezitolika ngenye indlela ezinye zezinto abazibonayo. Omnye umboniso wawunabantu ababephuma beyimiqodi kwisikhululo sikaloliwe ohamba phantsi komhlaba kwiSixeko saseNew York. Abanye babecinga ukuba baboniswa into eza kwenzeka eluvukweni! Sekunjalo, loo mifanekiso yanceda abantu bawaqonda ngakumbi amaNgqina kaYehova. Kodwa izinto zatshintsha, indlela abantu baseZambia ababemfuna ngayo uzimele-geqe yabangela ukuba abaninzi bangabafuni nalapho bebenyathele khona abazalwana. Amabandla kuquka abaveleli abahambahambayo babejamelana neemeko ezinzima ngakumbi ezazifuna ukuba banyamezele.
Ukungenelela Kwezopolitiko

Enye yawo yabona ibhokisi ebhalwe “Watchtower.” Yatsho ngekhwelo yaye imemeza isithi: “Watchtower! Watchtower!”
Lisoyikela isidubedube, elinye igosa latshovela uLamp kunye neebhegi zakhe ngaphakathi ebhasini. Ngelo xesha kwakusele kukho ihlokondiba elaligibisela ibhasi, libetha ucango, amavili kunye neefestile zayo ngamatye. Umqhubi wawanyathela amafutha malunga nomgama oziikhilomitha ezingama-90 waya kufika eSamfya engakhange amise. Ngokuhamba kobusuku kwathi cwaka. Abaveleli abahambahambayo baye baqhubeka bezincomela njengabalungiseleli bakaThixo “ngokunyamezela okukhulu.” (2 Kor. 6:4) UFanwell Chisenga, owayetyelela ummandla okufuphi noMlambo iZambezi, uthi, “Umveleli wesiphaluka kufuneka azinikele ngentliziyo epheleleyo.” Xa utyelela amabandla akulo mmandla wawuhamba umgama omde ngamaphenyane amadala nangena amanzi kumlambo oneemvubu ezikhohlakeleyo ezazinokulidlakaza ngokulula iphenyane. Bengachithanga xesha abazalwana bathi: “Kodwa abaninzi kwabo bemi babhetele ngoku, babenjalo! Babengamasela, abakrexezi, nababulali, kodwa ngenxa yamandla eBhayibhile baye batshintsha indlela abebephila ngayo baza baba ngabona bemi babhetele eZambia. Yiloo nto kanye ebangela ukuba size kuguqa ngamadolo phambi kwenu sicela ukuba nisivumele sishumayele ngokukhululekileyo.”—1 Kor. 6:9-11.

“Abo Bashiya Iincwadi”

Kwiminyaka engama-25 emva kokufunyanwa kwenkululeko, kwabhaptizwa abantu abaphantse babe ngama-90 000. Sekunjalo, abavakalisi abakhutheleyo banda baba ngama-42 000 kuphela. Sasiyintoni isizathu?
